Dreaded Alshabaab Militia Strikes Border Town Again Leaving One Dead And Two Officers Injured.

Two police officers were today injured and one passenger unfortunately lost his life after suspected Alshabaab terrorists from neighbouring from Somalia ambushed and attacked two passenger buses between Sarman and Olla regions in Mandera county.


Confirming the incidence, North Eastern regional police commander Robo Bunei stated that the two policemen were indeed escorting the buses from Mandera to Moyale when the attack happened.

"One passenger was killed and both drivers and two drivers were injured in the attack. The area has no mobile telephone network and the attackers may have taken advantage," he stated.

Also injured were other 10 passengers who were rushed to a nearby hospital for medication.

The police commander admitted to be experiencing challenges with communication but already security agents were deployed on ground and in hot pursuit of the militia towards the Kenya-Somalia boarder.
