8 LAPPSET road construction vehicles belonging to China Communications Construction Company were on Saturday night set ablaze by suspected Alshabaab militants.
According to reports, the eight vehicles were set ablaze by the suspected terror group militants at Omolo-Bodhei area along the Lamu- Garissa highway.
According to police report, the incident which occured in the wee hours of Saturday night, 22nd January 2022, left no fatalities since there were no occupants of the vehicles at the time of the incident.
The incident occured following an ambush that occured in the night before the suspected Alshabaab militants set the vehicles ablaze and escaped without a notice.
