BREAKING: 8 Vehicles belonging to Construction Company Set Ablaze by Suspected Alshabaab in Bodhei

Eight(8) vehicles belonging to China Construction Company have reportedly been set ablaze by suspected Alshabaab militants.

8 LAPPSET road construction vehicles belonging to China Communications Construction Company were on Saturday night set ablaze by suspected Alshabaab militants.

According to reports, the eight vehicles were set ablaze by the suspected terror group militants at Omolo-Bodhei area along the Lamu- Garissa highway.

According to police report, the incident which occured in the wee hours of Saturday night, 22nd January 2022, left no fatalities since there were no occupants of the vehicles at the time of the incident.

Police have launched a probe into the incident to seek the suspected Alshabaab militants out of their hideout, with the Bodhei area along Lamu-Garissa highway becoming a black spot.

The incident occured following an ambush that occured in the night before the suspected Alshabaab militants set the vehicles ablaze and escaped without a notice.
