Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga of the Kenyan Army has been selected as the current head of state President William Ruto's new aide-de-camp.Timothy Lekolool, who was given the rank of Brigadier and transferred to the Department of Defense headquarters, is replaced by Col. Lengusuranga.Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta, a member of the Kenyan Army, will fill in for the new ADC. She succeeds Racheal Nduta Kamui, who was elevated to the rank of full Colonel and transferred to the Department of Defense's administrative center.
The military officer who supports the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces at official events is known as the ADC.An ADC's role, is to give the presidency dignity and honour. He is supposed to escort the president out of State House into a waiting car, open the door, standing at attention and saluting when the President sits on the back seat. The officer then closes the door and takes the front passenger seat.He is in charge of transporting the President's personal effects, such as his phones and speeches, and he accepts gifts and other items on the President's behalf.
