Terror attacks in north Eastern parts and some parts of coastal region has continued to give the government security forces sleepless in trying to come up with the best ways to end terrorism in Kenya.
Recently attackers managed to kidnap more than 10 people including member of county assembly before they were rescued by security forces. Today however, following outcry from members of the public, cabinet secretary for interior and coordination of National Government and former education cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i ordered a one month curfew in Marsabit county.
In a press conference on Monday 2, May 2022, Dr. Fred Matiang'i said the curfew is to allow the security forces to deal with the ongoing criminal activities within the county.
The one month curfew will also affect Komu sub - location in Isiolo county. He further stated that operations will extend to sololo near the Kenya - Ethiopia boarder.
