According to the information shared by Radio Okapi, M23 have come in full force and recaptured the Kishishe territory in North Kivu that they had lost a week ago to a combined force of Mai Mai groups and the alleged FDLR.
The information shared reveals that the rebels recaptured the territory by repelling the coalition of local armed groups before retaking this locality.

It is reported that the residents living the area have all fled the area after violent fighting between the factions.

Several cases of reprisals were reported during these clashes, both against certain civilians who were still there, or against local militiamen taken over by rebels.
It is reported that some civilians were allegedly killed in the altercation between the M23 rebels and the other groups.
