According to an update by the cabinet secretary in charge of Defence under Ruto's administration Duale, he today hosted close to 400 military veterans who paid him a courtesy call at his meeting that was happening in garissa today.
The meeting coming at a time when locals from garissa Town are expected to head to the polls on January 5th to elect a new member of parliament after her the area member of parliament resigned to take up a powerful role in ruto's administration.
From the update the cabinet secretary revealed that the over 400 ex-military men openly indicated that they will be supporting the united democratic Alliance aspirant who is also a former military man to succeed as he former member of Parliament in the race.
The team has vowed to campaign for Dekow was recently awarded the party ticket to fly it in the forthcoming by-election which is expected to be a litmus test for the current regime
