CS Defence Aden Duale took charge as he made a visit to Kenya Navy Headquarters in Mtongwe Base in Mombasa.
Duale has said that Kenya Navy is one of the Kenya Defence Forces that protects Kenya's borders against waterborne aggression and plays an integral role in guarding the blue economy.
The new CS revealed that the visit to the naval headquarters was to assess the capability of their operations. Commander, Kenya Navy Major General Jimson Longiro Mutai was present as he received the CS into the headquarters.
Duale revealed that the team showcased their skills and modern test equipment that included special operations, warships and dive boats.
Aden Duale revealed that Kenya Shipyard Limited, a subsidiary of the KDF offers a wide range of maritime services including ship building, engineering.
Duale has revealed that the Kenya Navy assured him the safety of Kenya's waters.
