What KDF Have Done In DR Congo Areas Previously Controlled By M23 Rebels

Details have emeged as Kenya Defence Forces under the East African Community Regional Force in DR Congo continues to intensify their reconnaissance patrols in various parts of the country. The areas were previously under the control of M23 militants who have since withdrawn in compliance with the Luanda mini summit of November 23, last year.

The troops under the command of Col Daniel Rotich combed the localities of Rumangambo, Kisigari and Rugari in North Kivu province. "The patrols are in compliance with the deployment of EACRF to Rumagambo by January 5 after the withdrawal of the M23 armed group" part of report read.

Things seems to be normalizing in DR Congo after a long period of war by Congolese forces who had occupied certain areas in DRC. The KDF are now patrolling those areas which the M23 rebels have withdrawn.
