Reports reaching the newsroom this afternoon is that the Al Shabaab terror group has attacked a Moyale Liner bus. The buses usually plough the Nairobi, Moyale, Mandera route. It is not yet clear where the bus was headed when the attack happened.
It is alleged that the terrorists attacked the bus which lost control and rolled several times. Many people are feared dead while more have sustained serious injuries after the accident.
The bus was ambushed by the terrorists and it is not yet clear what their motive was before it lost control. The bus veered off the road which has unfortunately led to several people losing their lives.
The terror group has been attacking people in this route for several years now but it's been a while since they last attacked a bus. We pray that the many passengers on board are okay. We will keep you informed as the story progresses.
