Ol Moran which a disturbed region of Laikipia county is back to the headlines. This is bandits resurface and start to attack police officers in the region. In one of the cases a police officer in patrol was wounded after an attack by gun wielding men who are thought to be bandits. In another incident two police reservists were also badly wounded after a heavy fire exchange. The two continue to get treatment at Nyahururu hospital.
The Commandos and who are a specialized section of the police who are highly trained and has special equipment have launched a manhunt to the bandits. Through their spokes man the Commandos have formed s strong union with the reserve police who are conversant with the terrain towards the ranches where the bandits are said to be hiding. Through a 24 hour surveillance the police are on a mission to flush out anyone who is in possession of an illegal fire arm.
Armed with special vehicles and assault rifles the police are ready to end the Ol Moran narrative once and for all. According to residents police are using long range guns to shoot at far distances something which did not happen before. Residents are advised to cooperate with the police as peace is being permanently restored.
