President Kenyatta has urged the newly commissioned Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers to strictly adhere to their professional ethos as they discharge their constitutional mandate of safeguarding Kenya's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

President remarks came on Friday while presiding over the commissioning parade of graduating officer cadets that comprises of general service officers, specialists and special duty officers at Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru County.
The president was accompanied ceremony by Energy Cabinet Dr Monica Juma, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui and the entire military high command led by Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi.
The head of state more so urged the newly commissioned officers joining KDF with specialized skills and unique professional competencies to uphold professionalism in addition to being faithful and true to their oath of allegiance.
