A suspected woman terrorist has been arrested in Tinderet sub county,Nandi county following information from members of the public.
According to a police report filled at Songhor police by this opera news hub writer states that following an information from the members of the public, on 29/11/2021 that there was an alleged suspected terrorist at Kamalambu village in Songhor ward M/R YQ 542978 North East of the Station about 10kms.The same has been tweeted by Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
Police rushed to Kamalambu village and managed to arrest one Sheril Vugusta Lodenyo a luhya female adult aged 22yrs of ID/no. 37000146 of Vihiga County, Chavakali, Igunga village was cohabiting with one Laban Kimutai.
On interrogation, the suspect confessed to have undergone training on weapon handling, Kidnapping, Robberies and use of explosives for two years with Alshabaab after being allegedly kidnapped from Kilifi County in 2019.
The suspect alleged to have escaped through Lamu/Mombasa and headed to her home county where she allegedly staying until August, 2021 and later to Kamalambu to date. Information received is that she has been attending recent KDF recruiting centres.
Motive yet to be established. The suspect has been escorted to Anti Terrorist Police Unit,Eldoret for further interrogation and investigation.
