The Hustler Nation tsunami has continually grown strong in the past months. This comes with the well strategized but controversial move by the deputy president Dr William Ruto to change the political conversation in the country from tribal lines to economic empowerment.

Dr Ruto has been seen in various regions of the nation carrying out empowerment programs ranging from Bodaboda sacco empowerment to church building. His high extents of even giving out wheelbarrows and handcarts have made political commentators suggest that he is glorifying poverty.
The deputy president on Sunday morning had gone for a church fundraising activity in an Embu church when he passed by the market to greet fellow hustlers. He had been invited for a fundraiser at the Kiritiri Catholic Church, Mbeere South, Embu County where he was accompanied by more than 30 members of parliament.
In Kitiriri market, the hustler together with his Embu righthand men blazed the grounds leaving residents chanting all manner of words in support of Ruto. What captured the attention of many is however the chants made by "Embians" while Hon Rigathi Gachagua was speaking.

First, Gachagua appreciated the people of Embu citing that they have always proved to be firm in their decisions. He affirmed his support for Ruto asking them if they are also in the hustler's train.
The Mathira member of parliament further shared details of COTU SG Francis Atwoli's plan to forcefully impose ODM party leader Raila Odinga to them. "We heard Atwoli saying he will decide for you the person you will vote for, and that person is Raila. Will you people of Embu vote for Raila?" he sarcastically asked.
Kitiriri market was filled with a mixture of reactions with different Anti-Raila chants from every corners. Others shouted, "Raila hapana" while others continuously shouted "Ruto Tosha." The same was the response when Gachagua mentioned Baringo senator Gideon Moi and CS Fred Matiangi as possible Uhuru successors.

Despite strife from some kenyans commenting on Ruto's twitter account, others seemed to agree with the fact that Mt Kenya is behind the deputy president.
One twitter user commented, "Mt Kenya is a #HustlerNation.. Only folks in denial won't see this obvious phenomenon. They relied on tribal factions, which never happened. The true Kenya BBI is Ruto, just like Kibaki once was back in 2002. William Ruto is transcending political borders of Kenya. I love this."
