A Kenya defense force officer by the name Emmanuel Walugu Onyango is reportedly said to have killed his girlfriend Mwende Mwirigi yesterday before turning the gun on himself in Nanyuki town.Neighbours say that gunshots were heard coming from the house several times with the lady swcreaming for help from her neighbors before she died.
Emmanuel who works with the military is a member of the disciplinary committee of the department and had requested for a work break where it is said that he sneaked the Ak-47 gun in his personal vehicle.He would then drive to the girlfriends residence in the outskirts of Nanyuki town where he would not only kill his girlfriend but also turn the gun on himself.
The area OCPD said that the neighbors upon hearing gunshots alerted the police who broke into the house that was locked from inside to find two dead people.Emmanuel for instance had bullet hole in his head showing that he might have blown his head from the chin area as there was also bullet wound from the back of his head.
