The bandits set fire to several houses and stole atleast 1,200 livestock before retreating into the bush. The information was first posted and made public by the M.P for Turkana South Ariko John Namoit.
The Turkana South MP has condemned the attack, calling on the government to take urgent measures to address the insecurity in the region. He also urged residents to cooperate with security agencies to ensure that those responsible for the attack are apprehended.
This is not the first time that the region has witnessed such attacks.
