Intel of an impending terror attack in Kenya especially the region of Nairobi has started to spread on social media like wild fire. The rumor began on Thursday 28th of January and is still continung to spread. The National Police service has issued a statement saying:
They have assured Kenyans that they are aware of the situation and are in position to provide proper security and that people should not live in fear. They should just continue with their daily activities but carefully.
Kenyans have been urged to stay vigilante and help intelligence and report any suspicious activities they observe in their regions. The real risk comes to people outing or going to social gathering such as churches.
The police have been trained for such cases and they have depolyed more officers in social and crowded places. They have also scaled up security measures that are required to bypass certain places.
