It is always with a heavy heart that we have to pass on to you, the reader, the report of the death of a Kenya Defense Forces soldier. The men and women responsible for laying their lives on the line to protect this country from at external aggression.
One soldier from Kahawa Garrison, has unfortunately passed on under unclear circumstances. Details of how a soldier dies are never disclosed as this is a matter of national security. This is to protect the privacy of the soldier as well as his family.
The soldier, identified only as Peter, is a young man from the Kahawa Garrison Barracks which is along Thika Superhighway. A friend to the deceased broke the news on social media while sending the fallen soldier a special dedication.
The friend had this to say about the death of Peter, "Rest in peace. Death has decided to go with you, Peter. You will always be remembered. I dedicate to you the thing that you loved the most."
We extend our condolences to the entire Kahawa Barracks family and the entire Kenya Defense Forces family at large. Losing such a young soldier is never something to just brush off, rest in peace, Peter.
