UDA Chairman Reacts to Arrest of 3 Terror Convicts Who Escaped Kamiti, Calls For State Commendation

Three terror convicts wh escaped from the Kamiti Maximum Prison on Monday 15th November 2021 were on Thursday 18th arrested in a village in Kitui County.

Musharraf Abdalla Akhulunga a.k.a Zarkarawi, Mohammed Ali Abikar, and Joseph Juma Odhiambo a.k.a Yusuf were apprehended in Kitui before being transferred back to Kamiti Prison.

Residents said the three, who looked exhausted and thirsty, bought a lot of milk, bottled water, bread and biscuits from local shops and paid by cash.

The arrest of the three has triggered lots of reactions from Kenyans including leaders from across the political divide.

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Chairman Johnson Muthama has reacted to the arrest of the three terror convicts.

Muthama has stated that the brave Kitui villagers who apprehended the 3 escaped dangerous terrorists should get state commendation for doing a heroic service to the nation after lots of tension.

"The brave Kitui villagers who apprehended the 3 escaped dangerous terrorists should get state commendation for doing a heroic service to this nation. DCI should move with haste & award them Kes. 60m bounty they had placed on info leading to their arrest. They fully deserve it," Johnson Muthama said.
