"Ni Uchungu" Wife To KDF Soldier Says After Her Husband Died While Rescuing Their Houshelp

A sombre mood has been witnessed in Kisauni area after a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer lost his life while trying to rescue their house help.

Said Komora, the deceased, was stationed at the Gilgil’s 20 Para Battalion and had gone home to great his family in Kisauni only for the tragicincidentto happen. On the night of the incident, Said and his family were having dinner before the house help went outside to pick clothes from the cloth line.

The house help then started screaming prompting Said to rush outside to see what was happening. He found out that she was being electrocuted. The soldier managed to rescue the house help but he died since he got electrocuted to death instead.

The wife to the soldier could not hide her grief of losing a loved one as seen in the video making rounds in social media. According to the wife, her husband was electrocuted by a pole which had fallen on an adjacent house whose wires touched their cloth line.

Neighbours tried to rush Said to Montana Hospital but he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The KPLC have released a statement saying that they will look into the matter.
