According to the official KDF Twitter handle, an IED planted by these rogue Militias has overturned a KDF vehicle leaving one soldier in a seriously injured.
"Today 13th Oct, 2021 at around 9000hrs, KDF Soldiers on operation at the Amani Boni encountered an IED."read the statement in part.
According to KDF spokesperson Esther Wanjiku, one soldier was badly injured during the deadly attack and was airlifted to Nairobi defense forces hospital for treatment.
" KDF will continue to assist and co-operate with other security forces under the Boni enclave, she said.
The Kenyan defense forces have been working round the clock to ensure that knowledge get adequate security across the country.
The KDF team has tirelessly worked to keep off Alshabab Militias who have been trying to disrupt peace and normal living in the country.
A huge number of these Militias have been gunned down by our able soldiers with some captured and are behind bars.
We do hope the lord protects our frontline soldiers who risk their lives for us to leave in peace and harmony.
