The government has now decided to deploy the Kenya Defense Forces KDF in the areas affected by bandits and insecurity. North rift areas like Baringo, Turkana, Kerio Valley and other areas have experience insecurity and that government has decided to deploy KDF to stop the bandits.
It has been hard to stop them due to difficult terrain that make the place impassible and we have witnessed police officer being killed in an ambush by the bandits and the government does not want to risk being outshone by the bandits again and KDF are more advanced and will bring those disturbing the residents to an end.
We witnessed two children killed in Marakwet East sub county and the 70 cows were stolen. If the government doesn't act now this menace will continue. The KDF will open the remote areas by constructing Roads which will open socioeconomic activities in the region hence the goal is not to kill but is development oriented.
