Some few weeks ago we had a shocking incident after three Kamiti prisoners escaped mysteriously. The three men were serving a jail term for being involved in a dangerous terror group Alshabaab. With the aid of loyal netizens, the government authorities arrested them in Kitui County where they had intentions of crossing to Somalia and meet their colleagues.
Today the trio were arraigned in court to answer the questions why they escaped from prison. One of the escapees identified as Musharaf Abdalla alias Alex Shikanda who's a Kenyan citizen from Busia shocked the court after revealing his plan.
Speaking before the Anti Terror Police Unit Headquarters at Kahawa West, Shikanda said that he's ready to escape again if he gets a chance. The bold prisoner added that he was just looking for freedom since he has spent almost 10 years in jail up to now. What actually angered him the most was that he'll serve more years sentence including the initial one.
“Ee lazima nitoroke,” he stated, adding “Si ninarudi jela miaka mingine, pamoja na ile yangu?”
“Nilikuwa natafuta uhuru wangu, nimekaa miaka kumi hapa ndio maana nikajaribu kutoroka,” Shikanda said. Asked whether he would escape again if he gets any chance, Shikanda replied: “absolutely!”
