
Ministry of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has issued additional measures in the fight against bandits. At the moment, 8 counties including Baringo, Laikipia, Samburu and Turkana Counties have faced deadly attacks from bandits in the past few days.
Following the recent attacks irrespective of the heavy military presence in the area, the government has been forced to introduce more measures. Today, the Interior ministry ordered all residents leaving in several areas in the counties to vacate by Monday, 13 march 2023.

Moments ago, Kindiki has now banned all low-attitude flights above the counties effective Monday. The new measures are set to offer the military and police enough operation space in bid to flash out the bandits.

According to the CS, several powerful individuals have been aiding the bandits including issuing air support hence the ban on flights. The CS vowed to expose all individuals working with the bandits as they already know who they are and how they operate.
