Yesterday, reports streamed in that a Garsen Law Courts Vehicle had been attacked by suspected Al Shabaab militia on its way from Lamu and three judges are said to have been seriously injured.

The vehicle was sprayed with bullets by the militia who ambushed them on the busy Lamu-Garsen Highway leaving the government vehicle riddled with bullet holes.
Three judges are said to have been shot but managed to escape from the ordeal with their lives despite the terrible odds that were against them.
She has also thanked the Inspector General whose officers responded with ease and efficiency, repelling the attack and saving the lives of those that were on board the ill fated vehicle.
The three judges injured were Hon. Rotich, Njue, Sirma, Bett, Mugendi, and Barisa who will be flown to Nairobi for specialized treatment as per the statement by CJ Koome.
