Commander Kenya Navy Major General Jimson Mutai today toured the Kenya Navy Base (KNB) Manda Bay in Lamu County as part of the Commander's end of year tour of Kenya Navy Bases.

The Commanders visit affirmed the base's operational and mission readiness. It was also an opportunity to wish the Manda Bay Base personnel happy holidays and happy new year. 
According to a post by Kenya Defence Forces on twitter, the Major General Mutai urged the Navy to remain vigilant, alert and dedicated to duty. He asked them to alwats secure the country, their facilities and themselves. He further told the to be always active to defeat any adversary.
