Kabarnet is the town that Mzee Moi spent his time with residents throughout his reign and had himself a place to spend a night whenever he was around.

Visitors are greeted by a brash, commanding monument with the iconic "Rungu ya Nyayo" and containing words of peace, love, and harmony.

In addition to being historically significant, the symbolic monument that welcomes visitors to the little but historically significant town also vividly illustrates the enduring value of love.
To date, a non-alcohol directive Moi gave decades ago, is still being adhered to as there is no even single club in the town,
