3 Ways To Overcome a Bad Day

We all have bad days. You get a flat tire on your way to work, your boss decides to take all the credit for work you have done, missing the bus or that exit on the highway. There is no point in our lives when everything will be perfect. Things are screwed up from time to time. We cannot all have the luxury of running away from our problems so here are some things to keep in mind when having a bad day.

Is it just bad mood or you’re actually feeling down?

You may lose your temper when things don’t go according to plan, but a few minutes later, you get back on track. When you’re feeling down, you tend to have doubts about everything in your life. If it’s just a mood swing, figure out what you can do to get in the right mood

Don’t run away from the situation

During difficult times, your brain will want to make you get away from the situation. It is your job to identify those thoughts and be one step ahead to clear your head a little bit and not give in to distractions. A little bit of chocolate, a computer game or a beer wouldn’t hurt. Just make sure you know why you’re using them and monitor how often that happens so they are simply fun things, not forms of escape.

Have your bad-day-emergency-list

You should be able to tell what your emergency list should include. You could practice some yoga or meditating. You can also spend time with your friends and family. Get some time to yourself and even go for walks or try something new and challenging to keep your mind off things. You can also do something for someone else, ,like visiting a children’s home or helping out homeless people with some food or clothes.
