Bedbug Problems? Use This Simple Home Remedies To Kill And Control Bedbugs

Bedbugs are small insects that are brownish in colour which always survive by feeding on the blood of humans and blood of other warm blooded animals. Bedbugs mainly attack people at night when they are sleeping because that is when these insects are active. Bedbug bites always cause the skin to have raised marks that are itchy although they are painless at first.

The following are simple home remedies for bedbugs:

1. ALCOHOL

Alcohol is capable of killing bedbugs and bedbug eggs. Put a highly concentrated alcohol of 90% or more in a spray bottle then spray the alcohol where the bedbugs or bedbug eggs are found. When alcohol comes in contact with these insects or their eggs, they will be killed hence controlling them. Always use this method with caution because concentrated alcohol is toxic and should not be inhaled. Concentrated alcohol is also highly flammable.

2.BAKING SODA

You can also use baking soda to control bedbugs by sprinkling it over infected areas. The soda ash will dry the bedbugs out making them helpless. However, this method only works on temporary basis to keep bedbugs off.

3. BLEACH

Bleach can oxidize the outer shell of bedbugs when the chemical comes in contact with the insects. But as you use this method, always remember that bleach can leave stains on materials at home like clothes and furniture so you should not use it on them.

4. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

This chemical is capable of killing bedbugs when it comes in contact with them. Spray hydrogen peroxide on the areas where these insects are found. But always put in mind that this chemical can stain your clothes and bedsheets because it is a bleaching agent.

5. VINEGAR

Use a spray bottle to sprinkle vinegar where the bedbugs are found as this chemical will kill them they it comes into contact with them.
