The ministry of health has today confirmed a rise in Covid-19 infections in the country after 1027 tested positive from a sample of 7,184. The total infections in the country currently stands at 151,287 cases bringing the positivity rate at 14.3%.
On the same time, the ministry has also confirmed the recoveries have also risen with 382 Patients recovering from the deadly virus. The total recoveries as at Saturday, April 17, 2021 stood at 101,362. However, the ministry has noted that the virus is still within and spreading quickly with more cases expected to be reported.
On a sad note, the MOH has also announced that 20 patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. The patients have been undergoing treatment in various hospitals and homes. The new numbers bring to a total of 2,463 deaths in Kenya.
The ministry has urged Kenyans to stay woke and observe the set measures to save their lives and those of their beloved ones.
