3 Ways On How To Escape The Victim Mentality.

Victim mentality is a feeling as though bad things keep happening and the world is against you. It's an acquired personality trait that can have severe negative impacts....no one really consciously chooses to be a victim, it is more a way we fall into, to escape the realities of life. Below are some signs of a victimized mindset.

-You blame others for how your life is turning out.

-You feel as though everything is against you.

-You have trouble coping with setbacks.

-You always feel sorry for yourself because it makes you feel better

-You associate yourself with people who also fancy the blame games.

This attitude/mindset sinks you on the long-term. Here are 3 ways on how to fight the victim mentality.

1. Identify actionable ways to make improvements: Take charge of your life. Take ownership of you thoughts, feelings and actions. Seek for counselling, start mastering a skill you can monetize, make exercise a priority and align yourself with people that can help you improve.

2. Adopt an attitude of gratitude: victimhood is grounded on a feeling of "lacking" as if there is never enough of something. The quickest way to stop being a victim is to always try to think of how to make the most in every situation regardless.

3. Never underestimate the power of positive affirmations: Think highly of yourself. Your life is what your thoughts make it. Always stay positive, speak positive things into your life and you will surely manifest them.
