Luo Festival's Drive In At Carnivore Gardens Called Off At Last-minute

The much awaited Luo festival event planned for Saturday, August 28, at the Carnivore gardens has been called off.

In a circulating notice from the Office of The President through the Interior Ministry, planners of the event termed as 'Drive-in Edition" were asked to postpone the festival for a while citing Covid-19 infectious rate in the country.

Kiss 100 presenter and comedian Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o, who is one of the planners and event organiser, thanked all members and artists who were genuinely awaiting for the event adding they will observe to the covid-19 protocols. 

"The Government has analysed our ticket proceeds and said we postpone it for a while because the country is not safe at the moment. I'm sorry for that but we have to observe the protocols. We ongoing with the reimbursement of all tickets sold," said Jalang’o.

Comedian Fred Omondi, one of the luo festival event emcees, said, "I had collected my money and bought my outfits for the day. That's all gone now."
