5 Household Cleaning Products You Should Never Mix

Mixing different household products is regarded by many as a good task. However mixing them is very dangerous, because the product made after combination may produce harmful reactions. So, there are some of the products you should never mix at all.

Bleach and alcohol

You should never mix these two products. The two products will produce chloroform and hydrochloric acid if mixed. They also have damages they may cause when mixed. These damages may temper with nervous system, lungs, kidneys, liver, eyes, and skin. Excessive levels of chloroform can cause nausea, loss of consciousness, dizziness and even sometimes death.

Bleach and ammonia

The mixture of bleach and ammonia produces toxic gases, thus causing severe damages to the respiratory system of the body. A very dangerous, harmful and explosive substance may be produced, if there are high concentrations of ammonia and chloramine.

Bleach and vinegar

Bleach is a very strong acid where as vinegar is a weak acid. So, adding the two products together will produces toxic gases. The gases may result into a very serious damage to the eyes and lungs.

Bleach and other cleaning products

All the detergents such as glass cleaners, toilet cleaners, and dishwasher should never be mixed. This is because they will form and produce chlorine gas. The chlorine gas causes severe respiratory and ocular problems.

Baking soda and vinegar

Baking soda is a weak base where as vinegar is a strong acid. Mixing them causes neutralization, the solution formed is mainly made of water. However the process is dangerous, because it may cause explosion if mixed in an enclosed container.
