Number Of Guests Allowed To Attend This Year Mashujaa Day

As Kenya is approaching Mashujaa day celebrations which is normally on 20th, October 2021. Mashujaa day also known as Heroes Day is a national public holiday in Kenya where the country collectively honours all those who contributed towards the struggle to Kenya's independence or positively contributed in the post independence Kenya.

In the past celebrations, about 15000 people were allowed to attend the celebrations. However, this case is different this year as the celebration is to take place as the country is still experiencing covid-19 pandemic cases. Therefore the number of people allowed to attend mashujaa day celebrations is reduced to 2000 individuals as revealed by interior Principal secretary Karanja Kibicho. Covid-19 protocols will be highly maintained which includes wearing of masks and ensuring social distance amongst other rules.

Karanja Kibicho who was speaking at General Kassam stadium added that the guest speaker will be the president of Kenya Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta accompanied by other heads of states and dignitaries.
