Proper way to Plant Tomato seedlings and soil preparation

Today am going to share tips on how to plant tomato plant. First you need to have the seedlings from your seedbed or you can buy from someone. You then need to select a location in full sun for the tomato plant. Prepare the garden with a filler or shovel, remove all the weeds and then add amendments such as Pennington Fast Acting Gypsum. This product promote fast and healthy root growth by loosening compacted soil, giving tomatoes drainage they require. You can then apply Alaska Fish Fertiliser into the top, 6 inches of the prepared soil. Apply this for one week before planting to provide nutrients tomato needs to grow strong.

The general rule for spacing tomato plant is 24 to 36 inches apart in rows 4 to 5 feet apart. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and deep enough so that the top of the root ball is even with the soil line. Back fill the hole with soil and gently pack the dirt around the stem with your hands.

You then need to water frequently after planting and then provide them with support structures such as stakes or cages depending on the variety you are planting.

Kindly follow me to get update as I am going to show you how to maintain the tomato plant after planting.
