What You Need To Access Mashujaa Day Celebrations Venue

President Uhuru will preside the Mashujaa Celebrations scheduled tommorow at Wang'uru Stadium in Kirinyaga County. According to the National Celebrations Committee chairman who doubles as Internal PS, Karanja Kibicho only 3,000 people will be allowed into the 6,000 capacity stadium. This is in accordance to strict Covid_19 protocols to help curb the spread of the disease.

Kibicho stated that the stadium will be open at 5.00 a.m and invited people are supposed to be seated by 7.30 a.m. People are invited through cards where there are red sticker cards, green sticker cards and Blu sticker cards.The blue sticker cards holders will occupy the main road and will walk through gate number three. Incase they are driving, they will park at Ngurubani Primary School before waking to the stadium.

For green sticker cards holders most will arrive by communal transport such as buses and matatus or private schools. There are supposed to park at National Irrigation Board parking ground by 7.30 a.m and no entry after the stipulated time.The VIPs will have red stickers and will at large occupy the main dias. All will be dropped off at gate number two where they will walk through the screening machines and occupy their designated seating positions. Kibicho noted that the stadium has 8 gates and the green sticker cards holders will spread around the remaining gates.

Entertainment is set to start at 7.30 a.m and VIPs will arrive at 10.30 a.m. Kibicho noted invitation to the celebrations is via cards and anybody who doesn't have them should stay at home. " Invitation here is by card and if you don't have either a red, green or blue card, you are advised to stay at home and watch the proceedings of this important function at home" OS Kibicho stated. Malawian President Chakwera who is the chief guest and the First Lady arrived today ahead of the celebrations.
