Luos are known for a lavish lifestyle and when it comes to events they perfectly make themselves happy.
Every year, they have been celebrating the Luo festival to bring them together to celebrate their culture and lifestyle. They sing their Luo songs, traditional food and bring all the Luos in Kenya for this event.
This year the event was scheduled to take place on 28th August 2021 which is tomorrow and they have been looking forward to the big day.
Unfortunately the event has been canceled by the government citing the dangers of covid-19 which is still a threat and according to MOH such events are prohibited until further notice. On a letter send to them the government through the county commissioner of Nairobi said that they had received their request to hold the event but they used them to postpone it to a later date.
They have expressed their disappointment by this and the organisers of the event led by media personality Jalang'o have promised that the event will be there later on a day that will be communicated to them.
