Big Blow for Luos as Government Make this Move over an Upcoming Event

The government through the ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, state department for Interior and Citizen services has indefinitely suspended the Luo Festival until further notice. The event which as to take place on Saturday the 28th of August 2021 has been called off by organisers after the department of Interior considered it unsafe due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic. The ministry wrote a letter requesting the organisers to consider cancelling the event until the country will be safe for such.

The Luo Festival is an annual celebration organised by the Luo Community that focus on cultural appreciation and interactions. The event was to be attended by several public figures led by Jalang'o and other renowned Luo MCs.

This cancellation has left thousands of early ticket holders trying to figure out what next after this move by the government. The Luo Festival Organising Committee has however promised to take necessary measures in regard to the tickets and later date to which the event would be carried out.
