Why Martha Koome Does Not Fit To Be The Next Kenyan CJ. (Opinion)

Martha Koome Is a Kenyan advocate and human rights defender, serving as the judge at the court of Appeal of Kenya following her appointment in 2013. On 27 April 2021, she was nominated as Kenyan's Chief Justice by the judicial service commission.

She holds a degree from the University of Nairobi and a master of law in public international law from the University of London. She was admitted as an advocate of the high court in 1986 and began her legal career as a legal associate at Mathenge and Muchemi advocates until 1993 when she opened her law firm.

According to my opinion, Koome does not fit to be a Kenyan next Chief justice because the acting Cj Philomena Mwilu is a woman and she will the deputy in that position. It is not a good thing to have two females working together in that top position in the Kenyan government.
