Last year , Lawyer Paul Gicheru, who was part of the DP Ruto's defence team in the ICC cases handed himself to the ICC authorities in Netherlands.

The lawyer, before he surrendered to the ICC authorities was being sought by the court for obstruction of justice after the court claimed,he was involved in buying witnesses in cases against DP Ruto and Joshua Arap Sang.

And now as per the reports, the ICC Trial Chamber has announced that,it will open the charges against lawyer Paul Gicheru.

The court also informed that the case is set to start on The Hague starting on 15th February 2022.

This happens after a series of hearings by the Trial Chamber on deciding whether the lawyer should be put on trial for the case of obstruction of justice.
