AfricaSexWork Association Joins LGBTQ Sex Workers In Kenya To Condemn Rising anti-LGBTQ Activities.

The court has allowed LGBTQ community to form an register association. The ruling was made on Friday 22 February 2023. This allows the community to be recognised in Kenya.

Supreme Court ruled that decision by NGOs to bar LGBTQ community from registering association was discriminatory, says it will be unconstitutional to limit right to associate.

Over a number of weeks several groups and organisations have come out to oppose such rulling made by supreme court. Additionally, I have keenly read several opinions from political leaders castigating the supreme court ruling.

According to a source , Africa Sex Workers have condemned the rising cases of anti-LGBTQ activities here in Kenya. This means the organisation has and will offer support to LGBTQ community within the country. Additionally some leaders have lose social media accounts following their fight against LGBTQ community. This is the source.

In my opinion the community is recognised in Kenya and outside Kenya. They just need equality.
