Mukuru wa Nyagathanga To Be Cleansed By Kiama Kia Ma Elders After Muturi's Coronation Last Month

The battle between Kikuyu Council of Elders and the Kiama Kia Ma Elders is slowly taking a new leaf after Kiama Kia Ma Elders decided to go and cleanse Mukuru wa Nyagathanga shrine after Kikuyu Council of Elders used the venue to coronate parliament speaker Justin Muturi.

The Kikuyu Council of Elders led by president Uhuru's cousin Kung'u Muigai last month coronated the house speaker as Kikuyu's spokesman something that didn't go well with Kiama Kia Ma Elders. The event that took place under heavy security was criticized by Muranga governor Mwangi wa Iria whom condemned the move by the Kikuyu Council of Elders to use the sacred shrine for political gains.

However Mwangi wa Iria was met with hostility by the elders led by Kung'u Muigai who even insulted the governor for attacking the elders. However tables seem to be turning after Kiama Kia Ma obtained police order and the blessings of the Muranga governor to go ahead and cleanse the shrine from repacutions brought by the coronation ceremony.

The elders have set a date for 4th of June 2021 as the day for the cleansing. The event will be held without police supervision and only 30 elders will allowed at the venue. Then the elders will go to Mumbi stadium where the event will be publicized.
