Twist In Julius Marwa’s Murder Case As Wife Reveals What Some Powerful Men In Kenya Are Doing

Mystery still surrounds the death of the Mombasa-based traffic cop run over by motorist as his murder case now takes another twist.

In the incident on Monday evening, a car driver dragged and ran over Marwa, who later died at the scene.

Police said the deceased officer was controlling traffic along Buxton Junction in Mombasa at about 4.30pm when the incident occurred.

Marwa was survived by a wife and five kids including two in secondary and another two in primary school

His window, Florence Matinde has however revealed that some powerful men in kenya have started interfering with the murder case and that justice may be subverted.

“There are people who have started interfering with the murder case and I don't have the power to fight them,” she said.

Speaking at the Muslims for Human Rights offices near the Mombasa Law Courts, Matinde stated that she only wants justice for her hubby.

“No one is defending the police. We ask the human rights defenders to stand with us in this case because we have no other defender,” said Matinde.

The Mombasa traffic officer killed early this week will be laid to rest next week on Friday.

The family on Saturday said that Police Constable Julius Marwa's body will be removed from the Jocham Hospital mortuary on Wednesday next week.

It will be ferried to Migori county for an overnight vigil at his home in Nyambeho village, Kuria East Sub-County on Thursday before burial on Friday.
