
A petition has claimed that President William Ruto's appointment of Wambui Muigai as the Communications Authority Chairperson is against the law.
According to the petitioner who is also a lobbyist, the CA chairperson in waiting is not qualified and hence wants the appointment quashed by the High Court.

The Petition has been filed tao days after His Excellency the Head of State President William Ruto appointed businesswoman Mary Wambui Mungai as the Chairperson of the Board of Communications Authority of Kenya.
Wambui will serve in the position for a period of three years after Gilbert Kibe resigned reportedly to go amd explore other interests.
“Due to personal interests that I wish to pursue, I hereby tender my resignation as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Communications Authority of Kenya with effect from 01 December 2022,” said Kibe.
