The main suspect in the case of Father, a Catholic priest who died mysteriously, pleaded guilty before Chief Magistrate at Machakos law court, saying that he did the act because the priest had defiled him while he was still young.
Peter Muthini (not the real name) is said to have beats the Catholic father mercilessly to death, accusing him of defiling him while at his tender age.
The accused told the court that he knew father the priest since in 2017 during a mass session, which he participated in at Mbingoni Catholic church in Machakos County.
The accused's lawyer further said that it was during this seminar before the beginning of the mass, that the father beckoned and asked to see him after the mass.
Without hesitating, the accused went to see him as earlier agreed and the father told him that he wanted to talk to him.
Since he had no time because of busy schedule, he gave him his number so that he could call him later.
While at home, Muthini called the deceased and told him that if the number he had called him with was his, then he would call him later.
He called him the following day to his house during the evening hours and defiled him repeatedly before warning him not to share the incident with anyone.
