Mukuria Ngamau Fined 720.8M by Court

(Troubled businessman Mukuria Ngamau)

Businessman Mukuria Ngamau has found himself on the wrong side of the law after a court fined him ksh 720.8M or serve 27 years in prison.

According to the case file, Ngamau defrauded the National Youth Fund Ksh 180M, hence the court finding him guilty for the offence.

"COURT FINES businessman Mukuria Ngamau Sh720.8m, or in default serve 27 years in jail for defrauding Youth Fund of Sh180m." the Nation reported.

The ruling by the court will be very much welcomed by Kenyans, after a section of them blamed the Judiciary for being the weak link in the fight against corruption.

Recently, former Sports CS Hasan Wario was fined a meagre sh 3.6M or 6 years in prison after he was found guilty of taking part in the 2016 Rio Olympic scandal where millions were embezzled.

Wario was able to pay the fine in record time to get off the hook, with Kenyans calling out the Judiciary for letting the former CS walk scot free easily.
