Lawyers representing petitioners in a case in which a government adviser in legal affairs filed a case in the Supreme court and later withdrawing it has written to the court demanding that the case be mentioned on Friday as earlier planned by the court.
An extract from the Star newspaper
This is despite an earlier request by the attorney general to have the case withdrawn from the coffers of the Supreme Court. If their wish is granted by the courts, this could simply mean that the case will go on as scheduled with high possibilities of the same case flopping for the second time in a row.
Last week the high court made its stand known on the matter by declaring that the push to have the Kenyan constitution amended was null and void and did not follow the right procedures required by the law. Do you think the representatives are justified to oppose the withdrawal of the case? React on the comment section.
