Activist Njeri Migwi Arrested While Seeking Justice For Mitchelle

Popular activist Njeri Migwi has been arrested alongside her friends for holding a peaceful march to seek justice for Mitchell, an 8-year-old girl who was allegedly hit on the head to death by a teacher for failing to answer a question correctly in school.

Njeri Migwi and her friends had gone to lay a wreath at Newview School Kayole where Mitchelle died.

"We have been arrested and taken to Kayole police station. We had gone to lay a wreath at Newview School Kayole where 8 years Mitchelle was killed. They have taken our phones" Wrote Njeri Migwi in part on her Facebook page.

For days now, Kenyans have been seeking justice for Mitchelle.

Her mother Hilda Ochieng was turned away by police officers when she reported the matter. They told to give birth to more children.

On the other hand, Mama Lucy hospital where Mitchelle was taken by unknown persons and pronounced dead on arrival has never produced an autopsy report to show her cause of death.
