In a statement posted on his social media platform, a seemingly dejected Raila conceded defeat after a majority of the judges appeared to agree with the ruling of the High Court which declared the BBI null and void.
Raila welcomed the decision by the majority judges adding that he has moved on, further describing the BBI process a 'journey' and not a 'destination'.
"It is likely that this is not the end of the conversation and the parties involved each make their own decisions on how to proceed from the decision that has been delivered today," part of the statement noted.
This came moments before the President of the Court, Justice Musinga, was reading his verdict after which he was to give the final declarations as upheld by the majority ruling.
