ODM Youths Set Free By Kisii Court Over Allegations of bribery At Bonchari Concluded Min Poll

Thirteen ODM youths arrested and released unconditionally over claims to commit by election offence at Bonchari Constituency min poll.

Kisii law court has released 13 ODM youths unconditionally who were arrested a day before the election exercise at Bonchari Constituency min poll.

According to the charge sheet the 13 accused persons were arrested on 17 /5/2021 at Bonchari Constituency over allegations of preparing to commit election offence of bribing voters.

The 13 accused youths including Riana Member of County Assembly Vincent Maisiba appeared before Chief Magistrate Steve Onjoro.

Prosecution senior counsel Hillary Kaino in his application said the suspects to be detained for seven more days in the police cells as the police conclude investigations, record witness statements and do forensic analysis for Mpesa transaction.

The accused persons were presented by Edward Begi and Wilkins Ochoki.

Chief Magistrate Onjoro directed the accused persons to report to Kisii DCI office once a week for a month as police officers carry on investigation.
