Judges Have Created More Confusion On BBI Ruling, Claims Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi

The highly awaited ruling of the Building Bridges Initiative Constitutional amendment proposal that is underway at the court of appeal has steered online debates from the legal fraternity.

The senior counsel lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has faulted the appellate court judges for writing their own independent judgement claiming that it has brought about confusion.

"With each of the seven judges writing their judgment, this looks like a very untidy and confusing enterprise" stated Abdullahi.

"Unless Justice Musinga does a proper summary and housekeeping in his lead judgment, there will be much confusion" claimed Abdullahi.

In his opening remarks, Justice David Musinga who is the president of the court of appeal had already confirmed that each judge had their own independent views on the BBI verdict.

It is not yet clear whether justice Musinga will be doing a comprehensive summary of the ruling in his closing remarks however we will be following the proceeding for more updates.

The Court of Appeal appears to be divided so far as the judges take us through their own independent findings, keep it here for more updates from the court of appeal.
